Very nice chords in your pad. I like the techy sounding layers throughout the song. If I had to give criticism, I'd say that I want more. I like the slow build up but I wish it went into a more intense section. This track has potential and I can see it go further than it did. Overall, good job. I digg it!

SonicWombat responds:

Awesome feedback, thanks my dude.

I liked the progression itself. As for the bounce, I think it could've been a bit louder since no other elements of the song were introduced to make it much louder than it is. It's a simple volume thing so nothing really there. I like the lead line but I think as the song progressed it could've gotten more complex like putting another higher register piano line over the two lines going together, making the third piano line use more grace notes and things like eighth and sixteenth notes. Just a thought, I'm not sure what all you tried for the track. Anyway, there's my two cents. Overall good product.

Bradley-Pittman responds:

Thanks for the words Joe. I'll keep all this in mind for next time!

Not bad, I think there's a lot this could go, however this itself is a bit simplistic. Which isn't a bad thing, I think it has the potential to be more than a loop. One of the things I had the hardest time with is full compositions, but I could hear more sections for this song and more layers. I'm not sure how experienced you are already but keep at this one, it's pretty odd compositionally and reminds me of some neat sounds, some of the music you hear in Final Fantasy 9 sounds a little like this. What's your DAW?

DarkTrojanGames responds:

Oh,well,i use FL Studio,so nothing special,i can see this becoming a full song,it's just hard to find the right sounds and instruments for it.

Very nicely done! It reminds me a little of some of the background music they put in Cowboy Bebop in the beginning. Small criticism, I thought it was a little bland as it got toward the end half of your section starting at 1:40. I like it, but I feel like you could've added a small extra layer to make your outro have a little bit more of a kick. Still hits the feels in a nice way. Nice track.

BeauXuan responds:

Not going to lie, I didn't know where I wanted this track to go. Just kind of went with it. Thank you for your honest critique, it's not often that I get something that could be deemed helpful. :D

Very interesting and I absolutely love the section at 1:23! I really like your main melodic idea, my simple two cents, I was a little disappointed in your "section b", I thought it could've contrasted a little more powerfully by utilizing a few more uncommon extensions in your chords. Overall a very nice sounds and I enjoyed listening. I LOVE THE MAIN MELODY DON'T TAKE THIS AS HATE

Wow! Actually so neat! This composition is very impressively different and reminds me of hints of video game music I heard in the original Rugrats game with little bit of MIDI feels from original Runescape, but also a touch of 80s synth rock! Very interesting listen, my only criticism being bits of the more avant garde sections could've been just ever slightly more in time to keep my sense of rhythm. Overall, very nice product, I enjoyed listening :)

funkmeisterfish responds:

thangk you very much :-)

Very interesting sound in general. It's different from a lot of what I've heard yet oddly familiar. Glad you posted it, nice listen. Nice mix too. What DAW are you using? The vocals are mixed very well.

Kor-Rune responds:

Thank you! Studio One 3 is my DAW

Very nice composition! At first I thought I was hearing just some old rap tape or something, I was very impressed with the musical layers of content present all throughout this composition. Kudos, only bit of criticism, certain frequencies you have in the lead lines at certain sections are a little intense. I'm not suggesting you didn't already EQ it, I'm saying maybe kill out those harsher frequencies a little bit more. Great composition, enjoyed listening

AlmightyDJKB responds:

Thx man

It's not bad at all, my thoughts on the composition itself, I thought that some parts felt a little dragged out and could've made movements in fewer bars. The mix was pretty good, although I felt the overall output level could've been controlled slightly better at the "louder sections" of the song. Overall, good product.

CryNN responds:

I really appreciate this review, and i hope i will try my best next time! ;)

Haha, oh yea y'all, great cover of this song. What are you guys using as a DAW? Nice job on general vocal mix. Must've been a headache.

XTREEMMAK responds:

Thank you very much!

As for the DAW, I'm primarily a Cubase guy! As for the mix, only slightly (says he with a bottle of coffee XD)
